My journey in early childhood education started in 2010. What began as a community service experience quickly became my passion and eventually my purpose.
Growing up in Philadelphia with a single mother, I saw firsthand the power of a supportive village. My mom worked multiple jobs to provide life changing opportunities, and even though she wasn’t always there physically, she made sure I always felt loved, seen, and supported.
I became a mother at 18, and that experience also taught me how vital it is to have support, guidance, and people who truly understand and genuinely support you. Early on, I was guilty of feeling like I had to figure everything out alone, afraid to ask questions, and isolating myself in my struggles. However, I was always able to find the value in my village.
Those experiences planted the seed for The Preschool Posse a space where educators, families, and childcare professionals can feel that same sense of belonging and community.
Over the years, I’ve worked in corporate childcare, transforming struggling centers into thriving environments by leading with heart, hope, and a focus on quality education, family advocation, and staff empowerment.
Educational Background
Academically, I hold an Associates in Business, a Bachelors in Business with a concentration in Marketing, and I’m currently completing my Master’s in Adult Education. I am also a Professional Development Specialist with the Council for Professional Recognition, helping educators earn their CDA credentials. As well as a certified First Aid and CPR Instructor, teaching life-saving skills to childcare professionals and families.
Through The Preschool Posse, my goal is simple: to build a true community of support. No one should feel like they have to navigate childcare or teaching alone. There is strength in asking questions, leaning on others, and growing together. I want every educator, parent, and childcare professional to feel empowered, supported, and part of a village. Because when we have a village, everyone thrives.
