 Preparing for your Child Development Associate (CDA) Verification Visit can feel overwhelming  but you don’t have to do it alone.

As an approved Professional Development (PD) Specialist with the Council for Professional Recognition, I am here to guide, support, and walk alongside you through the final and most important step of earning your CDA Credential.

This visit is not about perfection it’s about preparation, professionalism, and confidence. When you schedule me as your PD Specialist, you receive:

✔ Clarity on what to expect during the Verification Visit
✔ Encouragement to confidently demonstrate your classroom practices
✔ Professional feedback aligned with CDA standards

My goal is to ensure you feel prepared, qualified, and confident before your visit.

The Verification Visit is conducted after your CDA application is approved. During this visit, your PD Specialist will:

• Review your Professional Portfolio
• Observe you working with children in your classroom setting
• Conduct a reflective dialogue to discuss your teaching practices
• Submit official verification documentation to the Council

This is the final step before receiving your CDA Credential.

1. Complete your CDA application through the Council for Professional Recognition.
    
2. Once your application is approved, log into your CDA Council account.
    
3. Select “Find a PD Specialist.”
4. Enter my PD Specialist ID number: P000171402
5. Submit your request through the CDA Council portal. 
6. Once I receive the request, I will contact you to coordinate your Verification Visit and provide preparation guidance.
