My journey in early childhood education began in 2010. What started as a community service experience quickly evolved into my passion and ultimately my purpose.
Growing up in Philadelphia with a single mother, I witnessed firsthand the impact of a supportive village. My mom worked multiple jobs to provide life-changing opportunities, and even though she wasn’t always there physically, she ensured I always felt loved, seen, and supported.
I became a mother at 18, which further highlighted the importance of having support, guidance, and people who genuinely understand your struggles. Initially, I often felt compelled to navigate challenges alone, hesitant to ask questions and isolating myself. However, I always recognized the value of my village.
Those experiences inspired me to create The Preschool Posse, a nurturing space where educators, families, and childcare professionals can experience a similar sense of belonging and community.
Over the years, I’ve worked with Florida childcare providers in corporate childcare settings, transforming struggling centers into thriving environments by leading with heart, hope, and a commitment to quality education, family advocacy, and staff empowerment.
Educationally, I hold an Associates in Business, a Bachelors in Business with a concentration in Marketing, and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Adult Education. Additionally, I am a Professional Development Specialist with the Council for Professional Recognition, assisting National ECE Professionals in earning their CDA credentials. I am also a certified First Aid and CPR Instructor, teaching essential life-saving skills to childcare professionals and families.
Through The Preschool Posse, my mission is straightforward: to cultivate a genuine community of support. No one should feel they have to navigate early childhood education or teaching alone. There is immense strength in asking questions, leaning on others, and growing collectively. I aspire for every educator, parent, and childcare professional to feel empowered, supported, and part of a village. Because when we have a village, everyone thrives.
